I'm an artist living and working in Boise, Idaho. Creatively I am drawn towards color, simple design, eco-friendly products and art that gives me peace or makes me smile.
I am inspired by other artists who have made it their goal to fearlessly take charge of their own creativity and life.
Home interiors, design and comedy are also my jam. I declutter often (almost every day) to keep my sanity. I'm also a piano player, photographer, wife and mamma to the best corgi-lab in all the land.
In the past, I have been fortunate enough to work as a photojournalist and even more fortunate enough to win a few photography awards through the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association as well as Studio Boise's 2017 Idaho Places, Idaho Faces photo contest. I started my art career as a student and received my BFA in Art Education from Boise State University in 2011. Now I'm working on enjoying the little things all while painting my face off. Thank you for taking the time to stop by my site.
I create artwork that is influenced by my surroundings, my individual perception of the world and my specific life experiences. In exploring these elements, I am searching for a state of personal contentment. Each brush stroke and mark made is an extension of myself. Often utilizing layers, I am examining the variety of ways we live and the variety of paths our lives can take.
